CFK sends teams of skilled volunteers into North Korea multiple times per year with specific set goals in mind. These visits include:

• “confirming trips” - In this trip type our main goal is to check on the safe arrival and distribution of goods such as food and equipment. Our intention is to know that our supported facilities are getting each intended shipment, while also allowing us quality time to deepen relationships with the doctors, nurses, patients, and our understanding of the need in the area.

• “technical trips” - In this trip type the teams are sent with specific projects planned — installing a water system at a health care center, building a passive solar greenhouse, renovating a hospital operating suite, training health care personnel, etc. The photo at the top of the page is an example of work being done on a technical trip planned around renovating an operating room.
