Clean Water Projects

When we began hearing about the high rates of diarrhea and other gastrointestinal diseases, exacerbating endemic hunger and malnutrition, further weakening already compromised immune systems, and making people more vulnerable to contracting tuberculosis and other life-threatening diseases, we immediately started to explore ways to help.

When asked to help solve a water problem, we begin first by assessing the individual situation, and then we work with them to devise a low cost, low energy-input solution that will work over the long term. Because we are generally limited to two visits a year to complete technical projects, it can take anywhere from 1 to 3 years, from the time of technical assessment to completion, to complete a new water system.

These projects include drilling water wells, installing tanks, solar panels, and a gravity fed water system using equipment provided by Wellspring, another Christian group active in the DPRK. Point-of-use water filters are also provided as a temporary solution while complete water systems are being planned.

Words of Truth

So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
