Solar Lighting for DPRK Care Centers

Utter darkness describes most Tuberculosis and hepatitis care centers after sundown, due to the lack of grid-supplied electrical power. In 2014, Christian Friends of Korea began project to equip facilities with solar powered lighting that will allow staff the ability to read, work, and care for patients after the sun goes down. The CFK lighting system is a self-contained solar rechargeable system supporting 12V LED lighting and USB charging ports for rechargeable lights and cell phones.

The director of a TB rest home expressed his sincere gratitude when he told us: “I wanted and wished to work at night before but I did not have enough light. Now that I have two lamps from the solar power, I am going to work extra hard for this rest home. Thank you, [CFK].”

Words of Truth

I was sick and you looked after Me…I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for Me.
